Cables with enamelled wire conductor are increasingly used in power transmission. They are able to transmit more power with less cable cross-section. This means less material is needed to produce the cable and therefore the production is cheaper. However, contacting such cables in the conventional way is very time-consuming. In FrontCon PFISTERER invented a completely new contacting principle to solve the time-consuming assembly of cables with enamelled wire conductor.
